Product Description

The Eagle EB2-7 Bob Tail tow tractor is North American airlines favourite high-speed, all-weather, long-distance cargo tow tractor. This high-speed tow tractor has the capacity of towing ground support equipment of up to 34,019 kg (75,000 lbs) at high speeds governed to 40 kph (25 mph) in normal operating conditions.

Built on the Ford Super Duty F-350 chassis, this tug has an unequalled, commercially-proven, reliable drive train and braking system. Equipped with a rear hitch sight tunnel for direct hitch visibility for the operator, limited slip rear axle, heavy-duty wheels and radial tyres, air conditioning and ergonomic seats to ensure comfort and safety.

To ensure ballast and offer additional safety, the unit comes complete with a heavy-duty steel plate body, front and rear bumpers, and steel tubular grill guard and side protection.

The Eagle Bob Tail tugs are recognised for their ability to cover long distances and work long hours. This unit in particular is equipped with a 132.5-litre (35 gallons) fuel tank, ensuring the tug has sufficient fuel to be operated for long periods of time. Its gas power train features a rated output of 286 kW (385 HP) and it comes equipped with a heavy-duty air cleaner suitable for severe environments and a dry replacement element.

The popularity of the Eagle’s Bob Tail tugs has seen other companies try to replicate the same features these models exhibit. However, the Eagle Bob Tail is still the leader in high-speed, long-distance, cargo-towing.
