Narrow body aircraft tugs are designed to move single-aisle aircraft, which is an airliner that allows for up to 6-abreast seating with a cabin diameter of between three and four metres, such as the Boeing 737, Airbus A320 and McDonnell Douglas DC-9. These aircraft are mainly used for short to medium haul flights.

Narrow body aircraft tow tractors are able to tug various sized aircraft. The Eagle eTT-16 and the Eagle XM-20/30 are perfect to move smaller aircraft, with the first being able to tow aircraft weighing up to 77,564 kg (171,000 lbs), and the latter capable of towing aircraft as heavy as 97,500 kg (215,000 lbs). Whereas the Eagle XL-30 has a towing capacity of 136,078 kg (300,000 lbs), and the Eagle XL-40 are able to tow aircraft weighing up to 163,293 kg (360,000 lbs), being ideal for heavier aircraft.
