Ergonomically designed the belt loaders can be fitted with different length booms and are exceptionally stable with their low centre of gravity.

With it’s small and handy telescopic belt the Pulley 46Ce can easily service all aircraft from BAe 146 up to TU-204.

How should the Pulley 46Ce belt loader be positioned safely at the cargo door to avoid fuselage contact?

The Pulley 46Ce is controlled from ground and cab level, making positioning straightforward. The operator drives the unit into place and raises the belt to the required height.

Depending on the selected configuration, the unit can be fitted with proximity sensors. These provide an audible warning when approaching the aircraft and typically stop movement when the loader is within approximately 10 cm of the fuselage. This helps prevent aircraft contact and reduces the risk of ramp damage during positioning.

What is the working height range and load capacity, and which aircraft types does it serve?

The Pulley 46Ce is a compact unit designed primarily for smaller and narrow-body aircraft.

Working height range: 1 metre to 3 metres

Load capacity: Up to 50 kg per linear metre of belt

It is commonly used for regional jets, private jets, and narrow-body aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.

Because of its compact design, the 46Ce is particularly useful where wing configuration or tight stand layouts make access difficult. It can manoeuvre into restricted areas and provide reliable access to cargo doors where larger loaders may struggle.

What pre-use safety checks are required (brakes, emergency stop, guards, alarms)?

As with any ground support equipment, standard pre-use checks should be carried out.

Checking for hydraulic leaks

Confirming adequate battery charge

Ensuring the parking brake operates correctly

Testing the emergency stop system

Verifying that warning lights and alarms are functioning

Making sure the surrounding area is clear of personnel before operation

While manufacturer guidance can be provided for the equipment itself, most operators and airports will have their own ramp safety procedures that must also be followed.

Are there special operating guidelines for use in adverse weather conditions?

The Pulley 46Ce is rated for operation between –30°C and +50°C, making it suitable for a wide range of climates.

The unit is IP-protected and can be operated in rain and general wind conditions.

However, in cases of extreme weather, operating decisions are typically made by the airport or ground handling operator in line with their own safety policies and local conditions.
