Aviation Spares & Repairs Limited has secured a major contract to supply 30 Eagle EB2-5D Bob Tail tow tractors to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). This contract extends a successful collaboration, following multiple previous deliveries of the Eagle EB2-5D for use by the RSAF.
The Eagle EB2-5 Bob Tail tow tractor, built on the Ford Super Duty F-350 chassis, is North America’s most preferred high-speed, long-distance cargo-towing tug. With a towing capacity of 65,000 lbs (29,483 kg) at 25 mph, it is ideal for handling ground support equipment and towing cargo dollies across long distances in all weather conditions. The F-350 chassis boasts a reliable drivetrain and braking system, while the ergonomic operator station, rear hitch sight tunnel, hydraulic power steering, and ventilated disc brakes enhance its operational efficiency.
The tractor features a heavy steel plate body, front and rear bumpers, and a tubular grill guard for added protection. Its 35-gallon (132.5 litre) fuel tank allows for long-distance coverage and extended work hours. The Tier 2 diesel engine is designed for leak-free assembly and operation, meeting EPA emissions standards and including a heavy-duty air cleaner for severe environments.
